my owner came to see me last night but i was so sick all i wanted to do was lie down. she didn't stay for long because she knew i needed rest and i would be too excited to sleep while she was there.

i'm really sick. ran a temperature of 40.5 degrees last night and my owner got really worried. am now at mount pleasant animal hospital with a drip up my right front paw and a collar to prevent me getting to the drip needle. they did an x-ray last night and the vet on duty diagnosed me with low grade pneumonia. i was so scared during the x-ray that i actually peed on the table. i felt really lousy and slept all day. didn't even finish my dinner. i hope i get better soon. this really sucks. i hope i can go home soon. i hate having the drip and having my blood drawn for tests.

i'm having a cough and not supposed to shower for 2 weeks while i recover in case i catch cold. i think i got it from the pet store. i have to take my medication twice a day but so far have been cooperating. try feeding me otherwise! i tend to struggle a bit but have to qualms about quaffing down the liquid cuz i know it's good for me. but my cough also means i can't get vaccinated so can't go out for walks for another 2 weeks. that sucks and might mean i get a bit fatter with all the good food and no exercise. i guess we'll find out soon.

i had a visitor last night which was great fun. she seemed to like taking pictures of me but i haven't learnt the art of posing. maybe when i'm bigger i'll be more cooperative. i had lots of fun climbing all over her and exploring.

i had a new bed last night. my silly owner finally got it that i need something soft and warm to lie on at night. i've gone potty everywhere other than on the bed to keep it clean. aren't i smart?

i'm also learning the meaning of no and have stopped shredding newspaper. i also stand quietly on the stool while my owner fences up some newspaper for me to sit down while she changes the ones in the pen. i like a clean environment to go potty in. i also like my tummy being tickled while i lie on my back but i get bored quickly and have to find something else to do.

my birthday is 17 december 2006. i'm 4 months old today. i was born in australia on a dog farm before moving to singapore when i was about 3 months old. george took care of me until my owner brought me home.

right now i'm living in a pen until i get toilet trained. i haven't had my vaccination shot which is why i can't go out and/or play with other dogs though i know my owner thinks i should go out for a walk to burn off my puppy energy.

i've been living at home for 2 days now and getting used to the routine. my owner thinks i'm quite smart because i let everyone know i've gone to potty so they can clean up. but this morning i was too excited when my owner came to check on me and accidentally sat down in a bit of poo and had to have my bum washed.

i'm quite content to stay in my pen during the day but i love my red ball that squeaks when i bite into it. maybe my owner will let me play with it later.

i have meals twice a day and take my vitamins and supplements without fuss. i'm quite a quick eater and i do love my food but i do have the watch my waistline as i tend to put on weight easily if overfed.

yesterday i had a romp on my owner's lap while she was watching tv. i was more interested in checking out the living room and all the strange sights and smells. george says i can't get down on the floor in case i have an accident and never learn to be paper trained but my owner thinks i might have gotten the hang of it as i went on the paper in the kitchen last night. but i guess she's not taking any chances.

my owner seems to think i'll grow up really fast. she's taking pictures of me every morning. i haven't gotten the hang of posing for the camera but don't you think i'm such a photogenic puppy?
