although i looked better yesterday the news isn't so good. the infection in my upper airway is cleared but that means that the infection has gone lower into my lungs. am having problems breathing. the vet recommended that i do a wash in order to get a culture of the bugs in my lungs for better treatment. during the second wash, i almost stopped breathing and so they had to abandon the procedure. i just hope it's enough to get something useful. the vet also recommended that i change antibiotics which carries a risk that my cartilage will not develop properly, leading to early onset of arthritis. but really, at this point in time i think air is more important.
